Here is another reason to have your new construction home inspected. At the start up of this new A/C system, it was discovered that the condensate drain line was disconnected or not properly connected in the wall behind the unit. Condensate was seen flowing out from behind the wall and under the tile flooring where it finally ran out on to the garage floor. The only way to repair was by cutting a hole in the wall from the bedroom closet that was adjacent to this area. It could have been a lot worse and caused a lot more damge if it was not discovered so quickly.
